Term and Whole Life.
2. What factors did you consider when determining the coverage amount?
Asset preservation (including taxation as well as professional and administration fees) and bequests to children and to charitable organizations.
3. Do you believe in life insurance for children?
In general, no. However, there are exceptions to every rule. For example, if the child is a model or an actor producing substantial income, or if the child is likely to become uninsurable in the future, or if the family’s financial plan includes aspects that would trigger taxation or professional fee expenses upon the death of the child, then there may be merit in placing coverage on the child in order to transfer the financial risk involved.
4. What is the biggest life insurance mistake people make?
Purchasing coverage as an impulse, for single needs, without professional advice and without demanding full, objective market research.
5. Outside of life insurance, what other types of individual insurance are often overlooked?
Critical Illness, Long-term Care, and disability insurance, as well as proper and adequate travel medical coverage.
