Six Great Life Insurance Deals

Save money with
the best life insurance deals

Quite often people are presented with “Can’t Miss Deals.” Life insurance is generally not thought of as one of those opportunities, but those deals are out there. Don’t believe us? Just take a look at these six life insurance deals:

1. Manulife‘s Children’s Term Rider. Manulife’s Children’s Term Rider provides affordable life insurance coverage for children. The unique part of the rider is that the child can convert up to ten times the amount of coverage, to a maximum of $250,000.00, to any Manulife policy without a medical. This can be a huge benefit especially if the child develops a health issue down the road.

2. SSQ Financial Group’s built-in Extreme Disability Benefit. SSQ Financial Group is the only life insurance company in Canada to offer a built-in Extreme Disability Benefit in its life insurance policies.  One caveat this coverage is not to be confused with traditional disability insurance that pays a monthly benefit if the insured becomes disabled due to an injury or illness.

3. Canada Life‘s Astra Program. Canada Life offers a special promotion to all policy holders who are given a sub-standard rate on their permanent insurance policies due to a health or lifestyle issue. The Astra Program reduces any policy rating on a Canada Life permanent policy by one classification. This means a policy that was rated 200% will be reduced to 150%.

4. Empire Lifes Term Policies. Empire Life’s Term Policies are the only term life plans in Canada that are guaranteed renewable to age 100 without a medical.

5. Industrial Alliance‘s Pick-a-Term. Industrial Alliance’s Pick-a-Term allows the insured to pick a term that spans anywhere from ten years to 40 years. This allows the insured to customize their term life insurance plan.

6. Assumption Life‘s Golden Protection Plan. This plan is available without a medical and can be an appropriate plan for those in the “hard to insure” market. It offers a great value, including immediate coverage without a medical and lifetime protection. The policies can be issued with face amounts up to $50,000 and can provide great value when compared against other non-medical life insurance policies, especially Guaranteed Issue policies.  The Simplified Issue market place has really heated up in recent years with Canada Protection Plan beefing up its coverage.  Equitable Life and Humania Assurance also introduced Simplified Issue plans.

      Hi Reda,

You could potentially qualify for a traditional insurance policy – I would recommend first submitting a preliminary inquiry or looking at a Simplified Issue policy

Thanks Olga, a Term 40 would not be available at his age but he could do a Term 30, Term 100 or another type of Permanent plan.

I don’t think the Empire term renewal is such a big deal. The renewal premium is still really high!
