Industrial Alliance Revamped it’s Non-Medical Life Insurance Line-up

Industrial Alliance has two non-medical life insurance plans.

The first plan, The Alternative, has a limited number of health questions and the death benefit is limited to a return of premium plus interest, if the insured passes away from a non-accident in the first two policy years.

Industrial Alliance's second non-medical life insurance plan, The Perspective, has an expanded list of health questions,

The Perspective Plan has been revamped, increasing the minimum available face amount from $35,000 to $50,000. The face amount can now also be indexed to stay in line with inflation. The index option increases the death benefit by 3% a year, as long as the face amount dosen't double the initial amount of coverage.

Industrial Alliance also lowered the pricing to keep in line with non-medical life heavyweights. Assumption Life Canadian Protection Plan, which are underwritten by Unity Life.

The plan also provides double the protection in case of accidental death. The premiums on the policy will never increase; the plan offers guaranteed cash-values and guaranteed paid-up values, with a premium-reduction for spouses. A spouse applying for coverage will receive a $30.00/year policy fee-reduction.

Industrial Alliance also lowered the pricing to keep in line with non-medical life heavyweights. Assumption Life Canadian Protection Plan, which are underwritten by Unity Life. A 50-year-old male, non-smoker looking for $50,000 of non-indexed Perspective coverage will pay a monthly premium of $132.26.
