I am looking for life insurance for my husband. He is 62 years old and had a heart attack 9 years ago with no problems since. Can he get insurance? The term insurance we had is due and the price is tripled. HELP!

My husband and I have been with Primerica for over 10 years. I am 49 with no real health problems and he is 42 and the same, but we both are smokers.
Each year our rates go up and the coverage increases about $2,500.00, I think. I’m considering changing companies. We’re looking for more coverage with a better rate.
Several years ago my husband was put in the hospital for Acute PTSD and was diagnosed with depression and being bi-polar. We’ve been with a volunteer Fire Department for almost 15 years. I’m not an active firefighter anymore, but he has been Chief for several years, hence the PTSD. He was put on medication which caused him to be diagnosed with diabetes. He has been off the meds for at least 5 years and has no problem with his blood sugar. I believe it was justational diabetes, like some women get when they are pregnant. However, he is at risk for it since his Father is a diabetic.
I’d appreciate any guidance you could give me and would appreciate an e-mail with information.
Thanks for the note. We will send you a separate email. We would be happy to try and help but we would recommend carefully considering your options before canceling your existing policy. Traditional life insurance coverage for your husband may not be available or only available on a modified basis depending on his health.
I am looking for life insurance as I am in excellent health but was diagnose with an illness which is under control and as long as I take my medication the illness would remain in a dormant stage. Other than this illness I am in very good shape and do exercise and play all kinds of sports. I am in very good shape for my age. I am 57 years old. Please write to me and let me know if I would be able to get life insurance.
Thanks for the note.
We will send you a separate email – you may qualify for a traditional life insurance plan. It would really depend on the type of illness.
We also have a variety of guaranteed issue life insurance plans for harder to insure individuals.

I have insurance(house) with AXA so would like to stay with them. What type of policy would you suggest,& what would be the premiums. Thanks

I am looking for life insurance but am diagnosed as a very mild bipolar 2. I have a stable job, family life etc. There was a suicide attempt in 2007 but no ideations since treatment and diagnosis. Overall well controlled to the point I may be removed from all drugs and the diagnosis is in question
Thanks for the note. Glad to hear things are improving. Depending on the details surrounding you bipolar depression you may be better off first applying for a Simplified Issue life insurance plan (no medical tests and 3 to 12 health questions) and than subsequently looking into a traditional life insurance plan.
We will send you a separate email now.
