Canada Life Insurance Company policies

Pluses:

1. They have very well-priced term 10 and term 20 policies, which are renewable and convertible.
2. They have an ASTRA program on all permanent policies that decreases any ratings by one classification on all permanent plans with a modified classification.

Minuses:

1. They do not offer a Term 30 policy.
2. They do not offer a Term 100 plan.

  38. I work as a pharmaceutical advance tech and have disability to 70% of my salary from my work. I would like insurance to cover the shortfall. I take medication for epilepsy but have not had a seizure for 30 years and in god health. Can I get this insurance affordably, if at all.

    thanks,

Stan thought on October 15th, 2010 8:31 pm
  39. Hi Stan,

Thanks for the note. If you monthly benefit is payable tax free you will be pretty close to your maximum and any new disability policy would likely exclude disabilities due to epilepsy or surrounding medications. Regards,
