Assumption Life recently introduced Deferred Golden Protection. It's a 'No Medical' Simplified Issue Life Insurance Plan meant to complement its existing Golden Protection product offering. The policy allows applicants who have been declined qualification for life insurance protection in the last two years.

The Deferred Golden Protection plan has the same questions and pricing as the traditional Golden Protection plan and is available even if the applicants have been declined in the last two years. Previously, those applicants would have had to qualify for Assumption Life’s more expensive Total Protection Plan.

The death benefit on the Deferred Golden Protection plan pays out immediately for applicants who die by accident. However, those who don't die by accident will have their death benefit limited in the first two policy years to a return-of-premium plus interest. Thereafter, the policy pays out in full. In addition, there are discounts for non-smokers and face amounts up to $50,000.
