Upgrades in Transamerica Life Canada’s Credit Rating

As reported in the August Issue of the Insurance Journal, ratings agency Standard & Poor's recently raised its counter-party credit and financial strength ratings for Transamerica Life Canada to “BBB+” from “BBB.” The outlook as an insurer is now stable.
Also in July, another ratings agency, AM Best, revised Transamerica Life Canada to positive from stable and affirmed the financial strength rating of B++ (Good). AM Best also revised the outlook to positive from negative and affirmed the insurer's credit rating of BBB+. More good news for Transamerica customers, Transamerica Life is lowering its term rates effective September 20, 2010.
